Job Description
A Junior SAP ABAP Consultant works under the guidance of senior team members to design, develop, and maintain custom programs and enhancements within the SAP environment. The role focuses on coding, debugging, and supporting various SAP modules, helping to translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or those new to SAP development, offering growth opportunities and exposure to real-world projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and code custom SAP ABAP programs based on specifications provided by senior consultants and clients.
- Assist in designing and implementing technical solutions and system enhancements.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing ABAP programs to resolve issues and improve performance.
- Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional users to gather requirements and understand business processes.
- Maintain documentation for software changes, development processes, and technical specifications.
Must Have
- Basic proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including familiarity with SAP GUI and ABAP Workbench.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for debugging, testing, and enhancing SAP applications.
- Understanding of business process integration and SAP module basics (e.g., FI, MM, SD).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaborating in a team.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new SAP technologies and methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL, Data Dictionary, SmartForms, or SAP Script.
- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques and optimization for ABAP code.
- Participation in internships, academic projects, or SAP-related extracurricular activities.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Exposure to SAP debugging tools and project-based teamwork in a professional setting.
