Job Description
The Senior SAP PP & QM Consultant leads comprehensive SAP implementations, optimizations, and support focused on production planning and quality management processes. Responsibilities include business process analysis, configuration, integration, and troubleshooting of both PP and QM modules to streamline manufacturing activities, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is key, with a focus on maximizing system capability and business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead configuration, integration, and enhancement of SAP PP & QM modules, covering end-to-end production and quality management business processes.
- Conduct detailed workshops with business and operations teams to translate requirements into effective SAP solutions.
- Design and maintain master data (BOM, routings, work centers, inspection plans) ensuring accuracy for production execution and quality inspections.
- Oversee production order management, quality inspections, results recording, and resolution of non-conformances, integrating PP and QM KPIs and reporting.
- Provide leadership in user training, ongoing support, and process documentation for production and quality teams to ensure excellent adoption.
Must Have
- Expert knowledge of SAP PP & QM modules, including core processes such as MRP, production order management, inspection lot processing, results recording, and defect management.
- Experience in end-to-end SAP module implementation, business process mapping, blueprinting, testing, data migration, and go-live for both PP and QM.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing and quality processes, including integration between PP and QM for defect resolution, quality notifications, and corrective actions.
- Strong configuration and troubleshooting skills with SAP master data objects (BOM, Routing, Work Center, Inspection Plans, Catalogs, Test Methods).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for process mapping, user training, and change management across production and quality teams.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Fiori Apps, and cloud migration for production and quality management.
- Knowledge of statistical process control, SPC charts, and advanced quality analytics within the SAP QM module.
- Familiarity with industries such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, food, or discrete manufacturing, especially multi-plant or global rollouts.
- Proficiency in automation tools and SAP data migration (LSMW, BDC, Data Services) for PP & QM master and transactional data.
- SAP certification in PP, QM, or related modules; multi-lingual or global implementation experience highly valued.
