Job Description


Role: SAP WM Consultant
Location :- Bangalore/Hyderabad(Hybrid Model) 2-3 Days work from Office.
Experience : 6-10 Years

Shift : Ready to work on rotational shift as per the Project need


SAP WM Support Consultant ensures the stability, efficiency, and maintenance of the Warehouse Management module by troubleshooting, resolving incident tickets (L1/L2/L3), and configuring system enhancements. Key duties include managing inventory, putaway/picking strategies, RF devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (MM/SD) within SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Support & Maintenance: Resolve incident tickets related to WM processes (goods receipt, transfer orders, picking, inventory counting).
Troubleshooting: Analyze and solve system issues, including debugging and analyzing log files to identify root causes.
Configuration & Changes: Perform functional configuration changes for warehouse organization structures (storage types, bins) and troubleshoot configuration gaps.
User Support & Training: Provide guidance to end-users, conduct training sessions, and resolve queries regarding daily operations.
Documentation: Maintain documentation for system configurations, functional specifications, and user manuals.
Enhancements: Work with developers to implement minor enhancements, including testing (unit/integration/UAT).
Ticket Management: Use ticketing tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Solution Manager to track and manage issues.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 6-10 years in SAP WM support or implementation.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Warehouse Management processes, including integration with MM and SD modules.
Skills: Proficiency in SAP configuration, debugging, and familiarity with RF (Radio Frequency) barcode scanning solutions.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, blueprinting, configuration, and deployment of SAP EWM and WM solutions addressing inbound, outbound, internal movements, inventory tracking, picking/packing, and automation needs.​
  • Assess warehouse business requirements, map processes, and identify areas for process improvements, working closely with stakeholders across logistics, IT, and procurement.​
  • Manage integration of warehouse solutions with SAP modules (MM, SD, TM) and external systems (3PL, RF devices, automation), ensuring real-time visibility and seamless data flow.​
  • Provide training, change management, and post-go-live support to drive high user adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize ROI.​
  • Lead continuous performance monitoring, KPI tracking, and ongoing optimization efforts to maintain and elevate warehouse operational standards.​

Must Have

  • Advanced hands-on experience in configuring SAP EWM and/or WM including inbound and outbound processing, picking, packing, putaway, cross-docking, wave management, and yard management.​
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse structure, layout, inventory management strategies, and integration points with other SAP modules (MM, SD, TM).​
  • Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP EWM/WM implementation including requirements gathering, blueprinting, testing, migration, and cutover.​
  • Proficiency with automation, RF integration, and troubleshooting warehouse interfaces and data flows.​
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to deliver training and change management across warehouse teams.​​

Nice to have

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded and Decentralized EWM, cloud solutions, and Fiori-based apps.​
  • Familiarity with integration and workflow for robotics, conveyor systems, and real-time automation solutions.​
  • SAP EWM/WM certification and exposure to medical device, food, manufacturing, or retail industries.​
  • Ability to analyze and optimize performance metrics, KPIs, and warehouse reporting.​
  • Basic proficiency in ABAP debugging, IDOCs, and custom warehouse management enhancements.​​​
